The new 2025 Acura MDX comes with minor cosmetic changes compared to the current model. These changes include new wheel designs, modified bumpers, and a different front grille look. There’s also a new color palette, which includes Canyon River Blue Metallic and Urban Gray Pearl.
Changes in the cabin are somewhat more significant. ELS Studio has now been replaced with a Bang & Olufsen system. The center console has also been redesigned and gets a new 12.3-inch touchpad infotainment system.
When it comes to the space inside, it remains unchanged. This means that this Honda SUV has three rows of seats and can accommodate up to eight people. It should be noted that the third row of seats is more suitable for children than for adults, but the second row of seats provides excellent comfort even for fuller adults.
2025 Acura MDX Type S
Fans of performance SUVs are delighted with the MDX Type S model. The new 2025 MDX Type S comes powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine. This engine has as much as 355 hp, and AWD is standard. Acceleration to 60 mph takes a fantastic 5.5 seconds.
Unlike the current model, the 2025 version comes with new 21-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, gloss black details, an aero body kit, and an air spring suspension system that further improves handling. Like the regular version, the Type S also gets a Bang & Olufsen sound system, but with as many as 31 speakers.
Engine Options
As we said initially, the range of engines remained unchanged. Standard versions of the 2025 Acura MDX come powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 290 hp. This engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. Four-wheel drive (AWD) is optional, and if you want it, you have to pay extra.
Standard MDX versions also have quite good acceleration, reaching 60 mph in just 6.4 seconds.
In case you didn’t know, Acura has made it official that it has begun work on an all-electric MDX model.
Interior
We said that the interior would get major changes in the upcoming 2025 Acura MDX. And indeed, the view of the interior is imperious. The dashboard represents a perfect combination of wood, leather, and black metal elements. Thanks to the new 12.3-inch touchscreen, the look of the dashboard is truly futuristic.
Along with standard dual-zone climate control and heated and cooled seats, the front driver’s seat has been further improved. Now you have the option of a front seat with powerful massagers, as well as electronic adjustment in as many as 16 directions. There is no doubt that drivers will enjoy the new 2025 MDX.
2025 Acura MDX Prices and Warranty
There is still a wide range of prices. The base version is available at a starting price of $52,000, while the Type S version costs around $75,000. Other equipment options are Technology, A-Specs, Advance, and A-Specs Advance. Each of these models is from the previous set and costs about $5,000 more. Our recommendation is the Basic version because, for $52,000, you get a luxury SUV with three rows of seats. Not bad, right?
When it comes to warranty, the basic warranty covers the first year of service free of charge or 24,000 miles, which is slightly better than the competition. Of course, you have the option of paying extra for Limited or Powertrain warranties. The former covers four years, or 50,000 miles, while the latter covers 70,000 miles, or 6 years.
