2025 Acura RDX Redesign is Official!

Great news is coming our way: the 2025 Acura RDX will be upgraded, and it’s official. We hope this upgrade will be a complete redesign of the existing model. There are also serious auto-moto magazines that agree with us.
The editors of Motortrend magazine expect significant improvements in technological features. Also, they have announced that, according to the latest news, the 2025 Acura RDX is getting “upgrades to improve its appeal and functionality.”

2025 Acura RDX Redesign: Changes We Are Expecting

The current model is rated fifth as the best compact luxury SUV (Source: cars.usnews.com). This is not a result they can be proud of for this brand, and that’s why this redesign is coming. So far, we don’t have spy photos or teasers of the new model. However, we know very well what is necessary for this model.

When it comes to the exterior, we expect a complete redesign of both the front headlights and the rear light group. With sporty and more aggressive bumpers, the new 2025 Acura RDX gets a futuristic design. We do not expect a change in chassis dimensions.

The current version has been widely criticized for its poor infotainment system, inadequate voice commands, and noisy tires. These need to change!

Until now, the RDX did not have a touch screen. Now we expect a 12-inch display, which will be customized and simplified (with fewer unnecessary features) for the average buyer. Dual-zone climate control is expected to come as a standard, and one premium feature that is worth mentioning is the steering wheel heating.
With these small changes, we believe that the 2025 RDX will significantly improve its competitiveness in the luxury compact SUV market.

Is the same engine under the hood?

Why not? The Acura turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with 272 hp and 280 pound-feet of torque is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain shows top performance. With more than decent acceleration and excellent handling, this car is above average in its competition. All-wheel drive is standard on all trim levels, and acceleration to 60 mph in just 6.7 seconds makes this SUV truly impressive.

When it comes to fuel economy, it is also more than satisfactory. Since it retains its powertrain, we can expect 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

Still, the 2025 Acura RDX will offer a soft ride with smooth shifting, and with all that combined with space and a comfortable cabin, it will be one of the best SUVs for longer journeys in this category.

2025 Acura RDX Trims, Price, and Release Date

The starting price for the base trim is $45.000, and for the A-Spec Advance version, you will need to spend about $55.000. That is just a slight rise over a 2024 model, and this is great pricing politics for an Acura. Note that the base trim comes with many advanced luxury features, like power-adjustable and heated leather seats. Also in the basic version count are Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto options. That’s why the basic version is our recommendation for customers!

The exact release date of the new 2025 Acura RDX has not been announced. However, based on our experience, we expect this model to be presented at the end of the current year, and we don’t expect it to go on sale before the first quarter of 2025.
