Honda revealed a new design for its flagship motocross bike. The 2025 Honda CRF450r bodywork is inspired by an 80-mortocross bike. The 2025 model comes powered by the same engine, but we expect it to be tuned differently than the 2024 model, so it will squeeze in a few more horsepower.
Also, from the official photos, we can see a few small changes, including the position of the motorcycle and the new setting position, and we hope this will additionally improve bike balance and performance.
2025 Honda CRF450r Works Edition
The Works Edition will be a special upgraded model that will bring a few interesting changes to the standard model. The upgrades will include:
- Hand-Ported Cylinder Head
- Premium DID Dirt Star LTX rims
- Yoshimura Exhaust System
- RK Gold Chain
- Hinson Clutch Basket and Cover
- Special ECU settings
- Throttle Jockey Gripper Seat
- Revolved Suspension
- Twin Air Filter
This model will also include an HRC decal package. The engine will be the same 450 CC liquid-cooled unicum single-cylinder engine with an electric starter and hydraulic clutch. It will produce 61 horsepower at 8600 RPM. Like the previous model, it will come standard with a titanium fuel tank and HRC launch control. Also, the engine will offer selectable modes so it better adapts to driving conditions.
The power will be delivered to rear-wheel drive through a 5-speed transmission.
As we already mentioned, the suspension for the 2025 Honda CRF450r will remain unchanged, but some tuning and adaptations to the current one are expected. On the front, we will see the same coil-spring fork with travel up to 49mm. And on the rear, we will find Showa monoshocks using the Hodna Pro-Link system. This rear suspension will have an impressive travel of 312mm.
What To Expect from CRF450r Redesign?
The 2025 Honda CRF450r will bring interesting design changes, including mostly bodywork. But from the official photos we see online, we realize that the side panels that protect the radiators will also be revised. The front fenders, fork guards, and number plates will remain unchanged. Also, the red color will be the only color available for this model.
The changes will include the new positioning of an engine that will be slightly lower and more on the rear end of the Moto. And the position of the seating will be slightly changed. From Honda, they promise all these changes will improve bike handling.
Also, the new model will bring some subtle changes, like additional seat mounts. That will additionally improve chassis rigidity and motorcycle stability.
