Speculations about the second generation of this popular Honda SUV have been circulating for a long time. In this article, we have gathered the most reliable information about the possible return of the 2025 Honda Element.
Interestingly, this model in the first generation has been produced for almost ten years without a redesign. Although not produced since 2011, Element still enjoys great popularity. It has gained quite a fan base thanks to its reliability and versatility. Although very outdated, it is still at the top of family cars.
So, really, why is Honda waiting for the second-generation Element?
The reason lies in the fact that they had a very similar model, the HR-V, with slightly better sales figures. Logically, the decision was made to shut down the Element, as it was estimated that its redesign would not be profitable. They probably weren’t wrong, because the HR-V was also soon discontinued.
However, the HR-V is back and has solid popularity, but it’s not a successor to the Element!
2025 Honda Element Expected Design
This Honda SUV was previously known as one of the most practical SUVs on the market, combining practicality with relatively affordable prices and fuel-efficient engines. We are confident that the second generation will offer the same practicality in a small-body chassis.
Because the 2025 Honda Element will share a platform with the CR-V, we expect it to also share many design features. This small city SUV should get a new headlight design that will be unique to this model. The front fascia of the SUV should have a rugged but sporty look, dominated by a unique grille and LED daytime lights.
It will retain its boxy shape like the previous generation, but we expect to see plenty of modern design features, including new premium color options, some of which may be reserved just for this model.
We expect a simple interior in the basic-budget versions of the 2025 Honda Element. However, the better-equipped versions will have many similarities with the new CR-V model. So, the fully loaded version has dual-zone climate control, and leather seats with steering wheel heating options. In addition to this, we expect many new advanced features that will be possessed by its infotainment system.
Engine Specifications
At this moment, Honda has not released official specs for the upcoming second generation of the Element. However, according to reports, we assume that it will share the 1.5-liter engine with other small SUVs in the Honda lineup. This engine produces 210 horsepower and 230 pound-feet of torque, with power delivered to all wheels through a CVT transmission.
There is also a chance that we will see a gasoline powertrain under the hood, reserved for lower trims. This model will offer a manual transmission.
There is also a rumor spreading around that Honda will offer the Element in a fully electric configuration. With electric models becoming a trend, the possible 2025 Honda Element EV will certainly be available with all-wheel drive. The projected range should not be less than 350 miles, with fast charging options.
2025 Honda Element Expected Release Date and Projected Price
If Honda decides to bring the Element back to market, it certainly won’t be available until 2025. At this point, it’s unlikely we’ll see it next year. But many people like to fantasize, so they wish for dates that are not realistic.
If the 2025 Honda Element happens to return, its starting price must not exceed $25,000.
