The new 2025 Honda Goldwing is significantly refreshed. We expect the 50th Anniversary Edition to have many new technical features that introduce the future model.
The Honda Gold Wing Tour is one of the best touring bikes on the market. Could the 50th Anniversary Edition be the best in class? We believe it can.
There is still no official information on what upgrades we can expect. A new color palette is coming, but if we can expect an improved infotainment system, there is a possibility of getting the fully self-balancing Riding Assist function. So, the refreshes are numerous, but we don’t expect an extreme design change.
Specs
The 2025 Honda Goldwing will be available with an 1833cc flat-six engine. It produces 127 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. You can opt for two gearbox options. The first will be a standard manual, and the second will be reserved for a more expensive model with a 7-speed automatic DCT transmission. Note that the 2025 Gold Wing automatic DCT is only $1,000 more expensive than the manual version. You certainly get a smooth ride with the DCT transmission, but keep in mind that the engine with the automatic transmission is 6 pounds heavier than the standard version.
Rumors
Big brands have become quite arrogant and listen very little to their customers. Unfortunately, Honda is no exception. Goldwing customers have realistic expectations. Buyers would first of all like to see a bigger Goldwing. If you look at Reddit, you’ll see that customers aren’t happy with the current size and better wind-blocking. What is much more likely is the improvement of the infotainment system. We expect something a little more modern with reason. Certain sources like Visordovn say the electric angle adjustment screen has been made official for the new 2025 Honda Goldwing.
An interesting announcement comes to us from Cycleworld, they announce that the new generation will come with a steering-assist function, which will help drivers avoid expensive and dangerous falls.
Finally, we hope for adaptive cruise control in the new generation, but that is very unlikely.
2025 Honda Goldwing 50th Anniversary Edition
Honda will release a special trim called the 50th Anniversary Edition for the 2025 Goldwing. This trim will share features with an automatic DCT trim, which means it will get an upgraded automatic transmission. But the biggest change could be the 50th Anniversary Edition decals and color options. It will share all electronic features, including the driver’s dashboard with an option for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will also support satellite navigation. One of the changes for the 2025 model will include new motor software with a new, more responsive interface.
2025 Honda Goldwing Price, Colors, and Release Date
The release date of a 2025 Honda Goldwing is set for October 2024. With a starting price of $24.900 for a standard trim and $25.900 for an automatic DCT, the 50th Anniversary Edition will cost about $26.700.
As we said at the beginning of the text, the new color palette will surely come with the 2025 version. The Heavy Gray Metallic will still be offered, but we expect Matte Black, Candy Ardent, Pearl Glare White, and Darkness Black Met. For the 50th Anniversary Edition, we expect a new Glint Wave Blue Metallic color.
