The 2025 Honda Passport will bring us big changes. The most noticeable change will be from the outside, and Passport will get a redesigned exterior. Inside the cabin, we also expect to see changes, including a new 12.3-inch infotainment system.
Under the hood, Honda will introduce a new mild hybrid powertrain that will make this model more than just competitive in the mid-size truck segment.
2025 Honda Passport Redesign, Black Edition
The Black Edition will be the top-tier trim for the 2025 Honda Passport. It will come at a starting price of $49,000. This model will come well equipped, including premium leather seats. A newly updated 12.3-inch infotainment system with an 8-inch digital driver gauge. The premium 12-speaker sound system. And the latest Honda safety features. Under the hood, we will probably find a new mild hybrid engine. This 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine will be paired with a small electric motor.
Together, they will produce around 350 horsepower and 320 pounds of torque. Power will be delivered to an intelligent all-wheel drive system through a new 10-speed automatic gearbox.
The maximum towing capacity will stay at 5.500 pounds. We expect fuel efficiency to be about 35 mpg on the open road. If Honda decides to offer a new 2025 Passport with the engine from the previous generation, it will probably be reserved for lower-end trims. Also, the Trailhawk model can come with an upgraded V6 engine from the previous generation. But at this moment, there is no official news on what engine lineup Honda will put in the upcoming 2025 Honda Passport.
Redesigned Interior
The 2025 Honda Passport will come in three trim levels. So interior equipment will mostly depend on the trim level customers choose. With the base trim, you will get a solid interior with 2-zone climate control and leather seating with leather upholstery. Also, this trim comes with an outdated infotainment system. The Trailhawk and Black Edition will come with an upgraded 12.3-inch touchscreen, 3-zone climate control with heating, and vented seats.
Also, part of the standard equipment will be ambient lighting. 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Hands-free Access Power Tailgate.
The new passport will still offer plenty of space for passengers and their luggage. With plenty of additional storage space. And there will be plenty of additional customizable options to meet customer needs.
The 2025 Honda Passport redesign will not just bring us styling changes. We expect that Honda will introduce new safety features. The new Honda Sensing Suite will introduce a new generation of Honda safety software.
2025 Honda Passport Redesign Release Date
The expected release date of the upcoming 2025 Honda Passport redesigned model is expected to be Q3 of 2024. With its fresh look and new, powerful, and economical engine under the hood, we expect that the new Passport will shake the SUV industry.
But it will not just have a pretty face. We expect Trailhawk trim to offer impressive offroad features and a black design to find a way for customers who love a dose of luxury.
The starting price for a base model will start at $43.000, and for the Trailhawk trim, the starting price will be $47.000. The top-tier Black Edition will stay around $49.000 and go up to $51.000 for all additional equipment chosen.
