The Honda Pilot is a popular family-friendly three-row SUV that gained popularity thanks to its spacious interior and good driving capabilities. The upcoming Honda Pilot will bring some interesting changes, including the introduction of a new trim for 2025, the Black Edition.
A few styling changes and an upgraded info-entertainment system. But the 2025 model will not bring any big changes under the hood of this SUV.
2025 Honda Pilot Black Edition
The Black Edition will be the top tier for a 2025 Honda Pilot. Starting at $55.600, it will offer plenty of upgrades from a regular model. This trim will also include blacked exterior details with 20-inch black rims and black badges.
The interior of this model will have a 9-inch touchscreen and 10.2-inch gauge cluster as part of the standard equipment. And we expect to see 12 12-speaker systems from Bose. Premium leather seats with red stitching.
All the 2025 Honda Pilot models will share the same engine and transmission combo. The 3.5 V6 engine will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain will produce 285 horsepower, and it will come with all-wheel drive or just front-wheel drive. Some trims, including the Trailsport, will get upgraded suspension that will lift this SUV an additional inch. This offroad trim will also get steel skid plates and all-terrain tires.
This model will come with a maximum towing capacity of 5000 pounds, and models with front-wheel drive will offer up to 3500 pounds of towing. The expected full economy in the combined drive is expected to be 25 MPG, and in the city, 19 MPG. On the highway, the 2025 Honda Pilot will offer 28 MPG.
2025 Honda Pilot Hybrid Changes
As we already mentioned, the biggest change for the 2025 model year will be the introduction of a Black Edition trim. The other changes will include the discontinuation of the LX trim, and now the Sport trim will be an entry-level model. However, the other changes will mostly include interior styling changes, like more premium leather in the upholstery.
Also, there will be some changes to the exterior of the vehicle. The biggest complaint about a previous model was the bold design that didn’t separate Pilot from other competitors. So the 2025 model brings some interesting changes, including a refreshed front fascia with new headlights. Also, we expect that Honda will offer a new Pilot with some new color options and a new rim design.
Price and Release Date
The release date of the upcoming refreshed 2025 Honda Pilot is March 1, 2024. With a starting price of $39.900 for a base Sport trim and up to $55.600 for a top-tier trim, this model will offer plenty for the money invested. The most interesting offroad trim called Trailsport will start at around $50.000, and it will offer a solid balance between offroad capabilities and price.
Competition
The competition will include the KIA Telluride, Toyota Grand Highlander, and Mazda CX-90. So, we can say that competition in this category is fierce, and we expect that the refreshed 2025 Honda Pilot will find a way to customers thanks to its practicality and good pricing politics.
