The 2025 Honda Grom, or MSX125 in Europe and East Asia, is a sporty one-cylinder motorcycle focused on young people buying their first motorcycle. It was introduced in 2010, and since then, it has been sold more than 750.000 times worldwide.
This achievement was mostly because it offers good performance for a 125 CC bike mixed with modern styling and a low sitting position. The 2025 model is expected to bring some styling changes, and we don’t expect any big upgrades for the upcoming Honda GROM.
2025 Honda Grom Specs
As mentioned, the 2025 Honda Grom will be powered by a cylinder and a four-stroke engine. This naturally aspirated 124.9 CC engine will produce 7.8 KW at 7100 RPM. The top speed will be 75 MPH, and it will be offered just with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The suspension will also remain unchanged, and on the front, we will see a 31mm inverted fork with 3.9 inches of travel. On the rear, it will be a single shock with a steel box-section swingarm with 4.1 inches of travel. For breaking on the front, we will find 220mm disc brakes with dual pistons, and on the rear, it will be 190mm disc brakes with dual hydraulic pistons. Also, the tire sizes will stay the same on the rear, 130/70-12, and the front dimensions will be 120/70-12.
The weight of this motorcycle will be reduced by 4 pounds thanks to the new lighter body, and the 2025 Grom will weigh 220 pounds with all the fluids that are required for a motorcycle to run. Also, fuel efficiency will be improved thanks to the new ECU remap, and the EPA estimated ratings are 170 MPG.
2025 Honda Grom Trims
Grom will be available in three trims. The Standard GROM will start at $3.599. Then GROM SP will have a base MSRP of $3.699 and GROM ABS will start at $3.799. There will not be big differences between these trims. The SP will receive an upgraded SP Graphics package that will be customizable, and the ABS trim will receive an anti-lock braking system.
Also, changes will include color options. It will be available in blue raspberry, pearly white, and nitric orange. The SP trim will be available just in matte gray metallic, and ABS will be available just in pearly white. The 2025 Honda GROM will typically come equipped with unique bodywork that is easy to remove and customize.
The blacked interior details like the engine, exhaust, wheels, and swingarm. Also, the base model will get all LED lights, including signaling.
Price and Release Date
The 2025 Honda Grom will be introduced in the summer of 2024 for the USA market. And for the EU and East Asia, we expect the release date to be a little earlier.
The price will remain unchanged from the previous year’s model. The starting price will be $3.599, and for a model with ABS, it will rise to $3.799.
There will also be some options for customization. That will include camo paint that, depending on color and styling, will go up from 150 to 250 dollars.
